The 9th season of "Smallville" is going to be full of "Smallville" versions of superheroes from the DC Universe.
Green Arrow’s sidekick will be making a cameo along with Justice Society of America (JSA) and the previously-rumored Wonder Twins. Executive Producer Brian Peterson had confirmed the superhero appearances.

The Wonder Twins are coming to Smallville
Wonder Twin Powers Activate

Episode 9.05 Idol
Zan (David Gallagher) and Jayna (Allison Scagliotti) visit the Justice Leagues new base-of-operations, the Watchtower, and talk with Chloe. We may even get to see their purple space-monkey Gleek. Wow, this is becoming a live-action, stealth mode, Superfriends.

In the 5th episode of season 9 "Idol", these two spray paint an "S" on the roof of a badguy's limo, to catch the attention of their idol, the Blur.

Later, the duo visit Watchtower and see all of the high-tech gear that Chloe has within, Jayna asks Chloe if she's actually met the Blur, and if she is the Blur's sidekick. Chloe tells them that Watchtower provides support to all of the heroes of Metropolis. Jayna wants to tweet her "group" about what she has seen, and Chloe warns that if she says one word to anyone about it, any trace of her virtual existence will be evaporated. Chloe starts trying new things, like carrying a gun.

Smallville Season 9 Trailer

This is the most recent trailer for Season 9 of Smallville.

Sidekick "Speedy"

Instead of Roy Harper, Jr.’s version, “
Smallville” will pick up the female Speedy. “It’s the newest version of Speedy,” Peterson explained. “Her name is Mia Dearden.” Like the comic, the show will present her along with the dark past, including being HIV positive. “She has a sordid past and crosses paths with Oliver [Green Arrow] in some shady places,” Executive Producer Kelly Souders added. “But he gives her hope.”

Justice Society (yesterdays version of a Justice League, are in their 40s and come out of retirement to see how todays modern Justice League operates.

Justice Society of America: a team that preceded the Justice League by a generation.
The Justice Society will be heroes that come out of retirement to see how the current generation operates. The Justice Society returns to give these screwed up guys of the next generation a needed smack-down, Geoff Johns says. The characters appearing are not yet known and will rely on legal clearances, but Johns says the characters will be in their 40's and Jay Garrick (golden-age Flash) and Alan Scott (golden-age Green Lantern) will not be appearing. The "Smallville" version of the Justice Society is most likely a smaller number of members, than their comic book counterparts, just like Smallville's Justice League.

Major Zod and a platoon of troops from the Kandor of the past arrive in Metropolis
Major Zod arrives in Smallville with a legion of troops from Kandor of the past, he and his troops are without their Kryptonian superpowers. Major Zod is between 20 and 30, described as handsome, charmer, master of seduction, and very intelligent.

Mason is probably a human identity for Major Zod.

Faora and Basqat will be among the Kryptonian cronies we'll see with Zod.
Last season revealed that Faora is the wife of Zod.

Fiona, described as "sexy and hot". She wears a faded military jacket and turns against Major Zod (Callum Blue), her leader. Together with another soldier named "Basqat" she imprisons Major Zod.
Which is probably why Zod is talking like he is in the Comic Con trailer.

As season 9 progresses, the venomous side of Zod will develop, do to a series of betrayals by the other Smallville characters.

And about the scene used for casting him:
- The scene takes place on the Queen Industries jet, and involves Mason with Tess.
- Tess is surprised by Mason's voice, who asks her if she's "All work and no play?"
- Tess tells Mason that she hoped he would have mastered more than a lexicon of cliches by now. He tells Tess she can stand down, because "it's me," and Tess says that "precisely who 'you' are is a little nebulous at the moment." Mason reminds her that it`s "exactly the way you like it." He then keeps trying to find ways to try to seduce her.
- It sounds like Tess might "betray" Mason. In a later scene, Tess returns to the Luthor Mansion to find him inside, waiting. He mentions that she "turned on him" but he "survived it," and then works on psychoanalyzing Tess yet again.
- He tells Tess "I trusted you!" and tells her that he was the one shot she had at a fairy tale ending. She pulls a gun on him, and reminds him "You still need me." He realizes she's right.

Alia (Monique Ganderton)
Alia, a "beautiful, sexy femme fatale assassin with mysteriously intimate ties to Clark and Krypton.
She's an expert fighter, especially with throwing star and a sword. Martial arts background.

Zombies attack Metropolis
Lois wakes up a zombie

Tess Mercer as a zombie

In episode three, called "Rabid", Lois and Clark are "in the trenches fighting zombies," Peterson reveals. "And when they catch their breath from fighting zombies, [romantic] sparks will fly."
The episode is about a virus infecting Metropolis that turns people into zombies. Both Tess and Lois are infected by the plague. Dr. Coats (Cameron Bancroft), a virologist who is working on the zombie plague. Oliver burns the current Green Arrow costume in this episode.

Metallo

Mild-mannered reporter has taken over some of Clark's duties at the Daily Planet.
But he is transformed into a cybornetic organism, and has a mysterious benefactor.
Could that benefactor be Lex Luthor? This season will make it obvious that Lex Luthor is still alive, but he is hiding in the shadows during much of this season.

These are pics, of Metallo, that I lifted off of the most recent Season 9 trailer.

Smallville Season 9 Update

Smallville Season 9 Spoiler Update
by Brian Griffin

Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is getting a little obsessed as the Red Blue Blur. He is trying a little too hard to be a hero, and is leaving the rest of his life behind. John Corbin is assigned Clark's duties while he's missing. We'll be seeing the iconic "S" symbol "all over the place" in Season 9, including on Clark's chest. Clark's new approach to fighting crime, involves leaving a silver "S" behind at a crime scenes where The Blur was the hero, to give people hope. Oliver wonders why Clark needs all the attention.

The Metropolis D.A. Ray Sacks, holds a televised press conference urging the Blur to "Step out of the shadows." He invites the Blur to show himself and take responsibility for his actions." at a public press conference and derides his work as "vigilante behavior."

Later at the press conference, the Blur doesn't show, but Lois does, announcing that she knows the Blur. She then has a monologue about how and why the Blur can't come out and make his presence known, and that he needs to be whate we all need, a symbol to believe in, and a light in the darkness. This episode will have a very "V" For Vendetta" moment within.

Lex Luthor isn't really dead, the mythos are kind of enforced by DC Comics.
Smallville's idea is to keep the character, Lex Luthor, alive and make his presence really felt.
And the Jimmy Olsen that died at end of last season wasn't the real Jimmy Olsen.
The character that died was Henry James Olsen, he was known by his middle name, as if it was his first name. The real Jimmy Olsen is James Bartholomew Olsen, and he is the kid Chloe gave the camera to. He is supposted to be a decade younger than Clark and Lois, and DC Comics wasn't happy that he was protrayed as the same age as Clark and Lois. Smallville, by killing their own Jimmy Olsen and revealing that he was the real Jimmy's brother is a quick fix, Smallville's way of correcting that.

Smallville is now casting the roles of Twyla, a "Pixie-punk teen", and her brother "Tanner", a "hot skater dude", cough "Zan and Jayna". Holy, Superfriends!" "Wonder Twins powers activate?"
So this is Smallville's interpretation and modernization of the Wonder Twins.

In the 5th episode of season 9 "Idol", these two spray paint an "S" on the roof of a badguy's limo, to catch the attention of their idol, the Blur.

Later, the duo visit Watchtower and see all of the high-tech gear that Chloe has within, Jayna "Twyla" asks Chloe if she's actually met the Blur, and if she is the Blur's sidekick. Chloe tells them that Watchtower provides support to all of the heroes of Metropolis. "Twyla" wants to tweet her "group" about what she has seen, and Chloe warns that if she says one word to anyone about it, any trace of her virtual existence will be evaporated.

A bitter Chloe is a sign of the current state of the Chloe-Clark interaction: Chloe tells them that "if you get good enough at it, one day you might find yourself saving your best friend, from an enemy, or even from himself.

Metallo, former mild-mannered reporter John Corbon (Daily Planet), he will become sleeker as the season progresses. He undergoes his cybernetic procedure at a LuthorCorp facility and has an unknown benefactor. That benefactor is more likely than not, Lex Luthor.

Smallville Season 9 – Spoiler Update

Smallville
Spoiler Update
by Brian S. Griffin
My previous Smallville article on this blog has alot of spoilers, and now, thanks to comic-con, alot more have been released, and are as follows:

1. Season 9’s theme is “Clark’s darkest hour.”

2. Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is getting a little obsessed as the Red Blue Blur, his crime-fighting alias. “He is trying a little too hard to be a hero, and is leaving the rest of his life behind.

3. Look for a season-long love triangle with Clark, Lois, and Red-Blue Blur.

4. At the end of last season, the Isis Foundation set was torn down, for the Justice League Watchtower set.

5. Chloe, still grieving over Jimmy’s death will immerse herself in all things Watchtowerish.
Some tension for Clark when she realizes she’s no longer content just being his sidekick.

6. We’ll find out why Clark isn’t flying in a scene with him and Jor-El (the returning Terence Stamp) in the season premiere.

7. Metallo will be in the first 2 episodes, this season.

8. Episode 9.02 or 9.03 focuses on Oliver’s downward spiral.

9. Clark is going to be wearing a blackish trenchcoat with a silver “S” logo as he embraces the heroic image that fans of the “red and blue blur” have been placing upon him.

10. According to Justin Hartley (Oliver Queen/Green Arrow), a bit of tension builds between Oliver and Clark over the fact that Clark is leaving his “S” symbol around following a rescue he does. Why, Oliver wants to know, does Clark need the attention?

11. Callum Blue, who plays Zod, provided some very interesting information. The Zod we meet is an earlier version of the villain from Superman II. This is MAJOR Zod, who has come to earth, with some segment of an army, from Krypton’s PAST. He doesn’t know who Clark is, has no idea where he is or what is going on. And initially he doesn’t have his powers.

12. The notion that Zod has come from Krypton’s past raises a number of issues, which no one will confirm or deny, though based on facial reaction, one can assume that Jor-El will indeed be appearing on the show. It also raises issues of whether or not this can impact on the timeline. For instance, can Clark somehow save Krypton? If he does, however, that planet’s survival would result in him NOT being sent to earth and ultimately become Superman.

13. It was conceded that the show will play around with the timeline to tell some of the storylines, though it won’t be a constant time-shifting adventure ala Lost.

14. Alessandro Juliani will reprise his role as Dr. Emil Hamilton for several episodes this season.

15. Alison Mack will be directing another episode this season, and Tom Welling, who is now a co-executive producer on the show, will be directing two episodes as well.

16. Geoff Johns will be writing a Justice Society episode of the show. The Justice Society is an earlier superhero team that existed decades before the Justice League.

17. It seems that teen angst truly is being left behind, the focus turning fully towards the next step in Clark’s embracing his ultimate destiny.

18. Story-wise, Peterson is not approaching this seasoon as Smallville’s last.

19. Peterson recently had dinner with Michael Rosenbaum, so maybe Lex is still alive!

20. Tom Welling has signed a 2 year contract, so the show will go through a season 10.

They will have a rocky start at first. Lois and Clark will finally start to grow closer, but there’s a love triangle between Lois,Clark, and his alter ego “Blue Blur” as Lois develops a crush on Superman.

Clark will be sporting the first version of his “Superman” suit. It’s not the red and blue one,It’s all black, no spandex, with the silver Superman logo on the front and a long black trench coat that doubles as a cape.

“Toyman” and “Roulette” will be returning this season. Lex Luther is not dead,no other info was given. They just say, he is not dead. We may see a Green Arrow sidekick story as they are brainstorming for one.
-
Clark and Oliver’s relationship will be tested because Oliver is jealous of Clark’s powers and growing relationship with his ex Lois. Also Oliver makes an attempt to rekindle things with Lois.
-
Lois will come back from the future and get flashes. Then start to think she has amnesia, and something is wrong with her.Chloe is going to be experimenting with different things in an effort to save the world, including carrying a gun.

The General Zod we see, will be a younger version of him. He’ll be going by the name Major Zod,he will not yet have full control of the troops he’s brought in,he will not be aware that Krypton has been destroyed, and is not yet aware of Clark’s existence.
-
There will be a time parallel caused by Zod which may cause us to see a possible appearance from Clark’s biological father Jor-El.

Smallville Season 9 Comic-Con Trailer

During the Comic-Con 2009 Interview, Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders gave the following info regarding Season 9.

Brian Peterson has said:
Clark is training with Jor-El and for the first time really embracing what that means to be a hero, trying to give up his human identity, but finding how hard that is when you’re in love with somebody. So that’s kind of the thread, between Lois and Clark and the Blur, and his training with Jor-El, that’s kind of the thread.

Major Zod arrives here with a legion of Kryptonians troops from Kandor.
Major Zod, not a General yet – younger and more manic.
The orb may be a portal to Krypton’s past, so this Kandor is of the past.
Not the present version, which Kara thought somehow survived.

The season premiere will explain why Clark doesn’t fly, and why he’s wearing the costume he has right now.

We won’t see him flying until he embraces being Superman, that will be the final stage – him deciding who he wants to be.

Kelly:Souders
“It’s a different side of Superman. It’s very exciting. The film, the footage that’s coming in, it looks like a motion film.”

“This is a different incarnation of Zod”. “We’re introducing him as Major Zod—this is before he became General Zod.” Souders added that “over the course of the season, the venomous side of Zod rises because he experiences a few key betrayals with our beloved characters.”

Season 9 Episodes:
9.01 Savior
This is the season premier, which features Major Zod (Callum Blue), a younger version of Zod.

9.02 Metallo
Mild-mannered reporter John Corben suffers an accident, then a procedure, which transforms him into a cybornetic organism, a cyborg. In the comics, his robotic body, is powered by a green kryptonite heart. If the same holds true, then he may be after the kryptonian orb, from which he could draw unlimited power to sustain himself. Thereby getting powers like Clark.
-
9.03 Rabid
-
9.04 Echo
A villian from the past returns in this episode.
Oilver ends up at a seedy club in Havana with two women in tow, and later ends up being chased by a large drug kingpin. He ends up having to be saved by one of his on-again, off-again associates and romantic partners.
-
Meanwhile, Clark weaars a texedo and a bow tie to gain entrance into the Ace of Clubs and goes by the name “Kennair”. His “date” to the AoC is Lois in an elegant cocktail dress.
-
Lois and Clark go to Metropolis General to interview a man held hostage, but it seems it may be a false lead. This still causes Clark’s “reporter instincts” to get “kicked into high gear”.
-
Lois and clark also interview a female hostage.
-
It seems that Clark might get a new power to hear others’ thoughts in this situation, hence the title.

Google to enter operating system wars with Chrome OS

Google is really trying to take over the world, they're coming out with a Chrome OS
by Brian S. Griffin

The Chrome browser is simply the centerpiece of a larger table setting; a full-blown operating system that will run without Windows or the MacOS beneath it.

It is slated for release in late 2010, and will be based on the linux operating system Ubuntu.

Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at netbooks, and most of the user experience takes place on the web.

It will be designed to be fast and lightweight, to start up and get you onto the web in a few seconds, and will be designed with security in mind.

That is, it's "Google Chrome running within a new windowing system on top of a Linux kernel with the web as the platform.

It runs on x86 processors (like your standard Core 2 Duo) and ARM processors (like inside every mobile smartphone). Underneath lies security architecture that's completely redesinged to be virus-resistant and easy to update.

Chrome OS is designed to operate on computers ranging from small netbooks to sull-size desktop systems for people who spend most of their time on the web.

Its essentially a Linux distro with a custom user interface running the Chrome browser.
If you uninstall everything but Firefox 3.5 on Ubuntu, would that be the Firefox OS?

Most of the user experience takes place on the web.
The software architecture is simply Google Chrome running within a new windowing system on top of a Linux kernel. It boots directly into the Chrome browser running on top of Linux.

The entire experience of Chrome takes place on the Internet, and the web is its platform as well.

Chrome OS is somewhere in between an entirely browser-based OS and a generic Linux distro, though leaning toward the former.

Chrome is designed with the web in mind, and willl be tied into Google's extensive suite of services. It will be able to rn Linux-based applications, though it won't be compatible with Windows. Not unless you use an emulator, such as Wine, to run Windows apps.

You can already use Gmail offline. I think that will be really indicative of other app experiences in a totally web-oriented Chrome OS with Google Gears. The same goes for Google Docs in offline mode, an option some people have been using for over a year. It's no coincidence that Google pulled "Beta" off. of its web apps the day it announced Chrome OS.

Google has inexpensive, low-power, Linux-based netbooks in mind for Chrome OS, computer hobbist, such as myself will be able to install it on computers they already own.

If you have more than one computer, then use Chrome for web browsing, since it is more virus resistant. Provided downloading torrents, You Tube videos and online music is still possible.

Then your Windows system will never get corrupted by a virus or spyware.

Hi, my name is Brian S. Griffin, and I am seeking work as a paralegal or process server.
I am very professional, and am familiar with typing of legal documents for formation of a business entity, and the filing of such documentation. If you are a law firm, I could be a runner, which has to do with the logistics of legal documents.

Thank you for your time and consideration.
